Daisy Scout trip to the MRF

Natalie's Daisy Scout troop got to go see what happens to our garbage after it gets hauled away in the garbage truck.  We visited the MRF (Materials Recovery Facilities) in Roseville and learned all about it.  Have to say, it was a pretty interesting trip.  It is one of the most sophisticated recycling centers in California, recycling more than 50% of the garbage that comes to it (about 1000 tons a day!!).

Swim lessons

Swimming lessons started last week.  The girls are doing great for not being in the pool since last season!

Bullards Bar

Our first camping trip was a success.  We didn't venture too far, Bullards Bar is just a quick hour drive from Auburn.  We haven't been there since Natalie was a baby.  The water was beautiful and the kids had a great time hunting for scorpions, snakes and other little creatures.  We even saw a bear a couple of times as well!!!

BBQ at Peterson Pond

Finally made it to one of Aunt Susan and Uncle Tom's Annual BBQ.  Fishing was their favorite part!!
