Disneyland

Yesterday we returned from 4 days down in Southern California visiting Disneyland. We had a great time despite the large crowds. Natalie & Kaitlyn got to experience some of the classic rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Natalie loved the Dumbo ride and Peter Pan. All the kids danced with the birds in the Tiki Room and Natalie & Kaitlyn ate dinner with Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Princess Jasmine, Cinderella and Snow White. After dinner at Ariel's Grotto we got caught up in the Pixar Parade which Natalie loved.

The second day at Disneyland we were up early (5:00 am too early!) so we ate breakfast and headed to Disneyland by ourselves. Our plan was to get a couple of Fast Passes for Space Mountain but it was broken, so we headed over to Indiana Jones, picked up a Fast Pass for a couple hours later and then hit Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, rides that get busy fast and were too long of a wait the day before. As we were getting ready to get on Indiana Jones, Kevin's mom called and said they were in the park and would watch the girls so we could go on the ride together. Tarzan's Treehouse is right next to Indiana Jones and Natalie was asking to go on it again. So, Grandma took her up and got an awesome surprise at the top, DREAM FASTPASS, basically fast passes for all the Fast Pass rides at Disneyland AND Disney California Adventure. She came down and Grandpa went running up only to find they were out. After going to Disney Town Hall later Grandma emerged with 3 more!! Thank you Natalie!!!

Getting these changed our day dramatically. We were now able to go on all the rides we wanted to without having to to endure the 1 - 1 1/2 hour wait time. After dinner Grandma & Grandpa watched the little kids while the big kids went back to Disneyland to ride more rides. Space Mountain was fixed and I finally got to ride the Haunted Mansion (I was too scared back when I was 5!).

Happy Easter (and Kaitlyn's real birthday)

Cool Baby!

The Bovee's (our next door neighbors) recently got 6 baby ducks to introduce into their pond. Here they are 4 days old. Natalie can't wait for them to get a little older so she can hold one!

Kaitlyn kept yelling "duck" "duck", clapping her hands and smiling.

EASTER MORNING

Mom, there is monies in the eggs!

I love my new Ariel Princess brush and "bunny" Care Bear

Look, more monies for my piggy bank!

Kaitlyn LOVES Natalie's dog that she got for Easter. Being the nice sister Natalie is, she shares the dog with Kaitlyn.

Happy 1st Birthday Kaitlyn!!

Yesterday we celebrated Kaitlyn's birthday with a little bit of Easter mixed in. Our day was filled with an egg hunt, lots of food, presents and some yummy bunny cake (thank you Nana). Kaitlyn didn't like her cake at all and was more interested in the bows and how they tasted!

Dyeing Easter Eggs

Yesterday Natalie & I dyed our Easter eggs. She did a really good job and didn't crack even one. I was surprised how much a year makes in coordination. She was able to drop them in and mix them up all by herself, I just had to help get them out and put them on the rack. Poor Kaitlyn wanted in on the action, but she just tried to eat the paper towel. Not only that, she hadn't taken a nap and was very cranky!

St. Patty's Day

Saturday we went to Grandma & Grandpa's house to have corned beef and cabbage. We also celebrated Easter a little early with an Easter egg hunt. The Easter Bunny came by early and left the kids some baskets with lots of goodies...candy, Shrek the Third and a new Easter book!!

Grandma & Grandpa also got a Nintendo Wii that we all had a lot of fun playing. Bowling, boxing and baseball were a few that we played. Cole even knocked his Uncle Kevin out! It is a pretty good workout when you really get going. Kevin got really interested when he found out there is a duck hunting game that you can get guns for, not to mention a Star Wars game as well (the controls become your light saber!) I think I see a Wii in our future.

Can I eat that?
