Rehearsal

The wedding weekend festivities have started!! We went to Hot Creek Hot Springs yesterday. We tried the fish hatchery but it was closed (Natalie kept asking where all the fish went). After the rehearsal we headed to John's Pizza for some yummy pizza and beer!

Look closely and you can see the water boiling up out of the spring

Another Dance Class

Natalie seems to be getting dance a little more each day. She is following directions well and doing actual dance steps. The pictures are a little fuzzy since I can't use the flash thru the glass window.

Natalie and the only other student, Amaya.

Tumbling time

Kaitlyn worked for a good 2 minutes to get up on this chair. She must have some great abs, she was able to bend her legs almost to her butt, making herself look like the letter "C".

Very proud of her accomplishment.

Kaitlyn found this bear in the toy room last week. As soon as we got there she grabbed my hand and drug me to the play room. She opened up the cupboard with all the toys and started growling like a bear. I asked if she wanted the sheep...."no".....showed her the bear and she grabbed it and ran out of the room. It is a struggle to get her to give it up when we have to leave. We put him "ni-nite" and she seems to accept that a little better.

Every other week the girls take turns being the leader after dance class.

Fairy Tale Town and the Zoo

Today we went to William Land Park in Sacramento for a patient reunion get together. It gives our cardiac patients a chance to come and see all the folks that cared for them during their stay. The girls were ready to run and did they ever! I think they went non-stop the entire time.

Natalie going down Old Mother Hubbards Shoe.

The girls walking the crooked mile. Natalie of course led the entire way. Kaitlyn loved running after her and calling "Na-yee", both laughing the whole way.

Natalie couldn't wait to take her picture as a zookeeper (we must have 3 others of her at varying ages from other visits). As she is walking towards the "zookeeper" she states "Being a zookeeper is hard work, mom". Where does she get this stuff?

I had to include a picture of a lemur. Natalie has not liked lemurs for as long as she has had them in her nature magazines. When I told her that the zoo had lemurs she got this surprised look on her face and said "oh, but aren't they mean?". I told her that she would now have a chance to see a real lemur and see that they weren't mean. She couldn't get enough and we stayed to look at them for quite a while. She especially liked how they were cleaning each other (she had to tell everyone that came by, "look they are giving each other a bath") and then this one on the end of the bench got up from his nap, stretched and started right at her. She thought it was the greatest!

Pamelot School of Dance

Natalie started dance class on Friday. It is a combination tap, ballet and tumbling. She was the only one there so she got a 1/2 hour private lesson. She seemed to really enjoy it, especially the tap part (she calls them her "clap" shoes)...walking across the dance studio and making lots of noise! Teacher Amy and Natalie hit it off and she can't wait to go back next Friday!!
