Happy Memorial Day!

We spent Memorial Day morning driving around the Auburn State Recreation Area and Lake Tahoe National forest looking for areas that might be prime deer hunting spots. We came across some camp sites we may try out....places out in the middle of no where. We only came across 2 other cars on Foresthill Road and then a few campers here and there.

One of the many canyons on Foresthill Road

There were millions of monarch butterflies everywhere. This particular spot (one we may camp at some day) had a bush full of hundreds of them.

Kevin caught Natalie a little lizard (it is on her wrist) ...they were everywhere too!

Aren't I the cutest?
