13 Months

After I completely missed Kaitlyn's 1 year update (due to Easter/Disneyland) I was going to put her stats up for her 13 month and I missed that too...but only by a few days! At her 1 year check- up she weighed in at 18 lbs 14 oz (16th percentile, up from the 7th 2 months ago!) and is 29 1/2 inches tall (64th percentile). Since she was still under the 20 lbs mark, she couldn't face forward in the car. However we are still spiking her milk with Carnation Good Start and over the course of a month she gained a little over 1.5 lbs and is now 20 lbs! At first she wasn't too sure about sitting forward, but then she realized that in this position Natalie could hand her snacks, so she soon found out she likes the new view.

She is walking like a champ, running to be exact. She loves her baby dolls, purses, cell phones, high heels and pushing anything, including her sister on her Dora car. You can't keep her out of the water (toilet diver) and loves to dance. While at Disneyland she learned "yeah", "ice" and to drink out of a straw...this was all while waiting for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. She is learning her body parts and loves to point at eyes, noses and her belly button. She loves to read or be read to, Good Night Gorilla and her Hawaii opposites book are her favorites. She knows "grandma" and "grandpa" and can point to them in pictures. She also says "nana", "papa", "all done", "ma" (more), "milk" & "juice".

She now has 6 teeth and will eat, at least try, most anything you put in front of her...she loves peas and carrots and has even convinced Natalie that they aren't gross and she eats them too now! She likes to munch on bread sticks, Pirates Booty and pretzels. She is much like her dad in this aspect, he is much more a salt lover...unlike me who would much rather have chocolate....just like Natalie!! Banana, strawberries, mango, peaches & kiwi round out her love of fruit (just like Natalie).

We count our blessings every day that we have two beautiful, healthy little girls. We are looking forward to the weather warming up and exploring outside, camping and doing some swimming this summer!
